Crane Estate at Castle Hill

Developed an overall plan to aid the oldest nonprofit land-trust in the world to preserve irreplaceable historic structures on gifted land and expand public programs. The plan outlined:
~ ways to generate new sources of revenue
~ increase membership with expanded public
and private programs
~ preserve and utilize derelict, yet significant,
historic buildings
Managed all marketing and external communications for 1990/91 Castle Hill Music Festival. Attracted new audiences through diverse performances, achieved a 50% increase in advertising revenues, and attracted Saab of North America and State Street Bank as new corporate sponsors.

Castle Hill is the former estate of Richard Teller Crane Jr., son of a 19th Century Industrialist. Independently, John Rossi researched, wrote, and was granted a copyright for the book and documentary film that retraces the accomplishments of Richard Teller Crane Senior, a exemplary humanitarian and founder of the Crane Plumbing Company, Chicago. Illinois, 1854—one of America’s largest manufacturing companies during the Industrial Revolution.
